Lynn, now I know why we are Facebook friends! Diane Bailey-Haug is a very dear friend of mine and she would not recommend us to each other without a special reason. Thanks for joining my blog. If you only read The Road Home, then you don't know that I can actually be pretty funny sometimes!

I read this book about the same time I read Marilyn VanDerbur's. My
reaction was that the book was well written and applied to any and all
of us who are survivors. I really liked her fast facts also. J

You did a great job and brought out some really valid points that many things were not considered abuse when I was younger. And I did understand that the people around us can make us feel a certain way no matter how strong you are. Hits home for me in many ways. I could write so much more about this because it's a subject near to me. Thanks for speaking out. LJ

"Lynn, I am so sorry that you had to go through this...you had strength then, you had courage to get out and you have strength and courage to share yourself with all of us and to help others become more aware of what psychological abuse is and what it does!!! Thank you!"

I had been horseback riding with an old friend and we stopped by the house he shared with his girlfriend. She spoke so harshly to him, I stepped outside to wait for him.

While we were in the car I couldn't help but ask, "Uh...does your girlfriend even like you?" After talking for a while, he admitted she made him feel awful about himself but had never been able to identify it with verbal abuse. Needless to say, that relationship ended.

Lynn, I too was touched deeply when reading Diannes book and found it hard to put down. I agree as beautiful as Dianne is, inside and out one would never think she experienced anything as terrible as she did at the hands of her cowardly EX husband.

Luckily because she is strong and got out of her situation she is now happy, thriving and loved by the man who she's married to, and lives a wonderful life surrounded by those that love and respect her.

I admire you both for thriving and helping others to grow strong and save themselves.

Gods blessings.
